Vampt Vo - 2/5/05
--Long time, no see! If anyone noticed, we've been having problems with our polls for the "Best Animes and Mangas of 2004". We will try to get them working, but we may be forced to cancel the entire thing! : '(
Also, Disney has announced that they will be producing a live action adaptation of "Kiki's Delivery Service". "Kiki's Delivery Service" was Hayao Miyazaki's anime adaptation of a Japanese children's book by Eiko Kadano, "Witch's Express Mail". Word is that Jeff Stockwell has been hired as writer.
The Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) will be released in America on March 24. You can only buy it in a $249 "value pack". It includes the PSP unit, a 32MB Memory Stick Duo, headphone with remote control, battery pack, AC adapter, soft carrying case, cleaning cloth, a UMD disc with game-demo movies, and a music and video sampler. Also, the first 1 million PSPs sold will include a UMD Version of Spiderman 2, the movie. The games will range from $39.99 to $49.99. The staff will try to post a video game review for the PSP, but none of us are really planning on getting it. There is one problem with the PSP that's bugging everyone. Sony has said that it has a 4-6 hour battery life. It has been found, though, that, this can be even lower! The games have great graphics, but they use so much power that the PSP needs to be constantly recharged. : (
On another note, Anime-Cons.com reports that: "John O'Donnell of Central Park Media, one of the organizations responsible for Big Apple Anime Fest, has informed Anime-Cons.com that he is 'unaware of any plans for BAAF 2005 at this time.'" For anyone who didn't get that, that means that there probably won't be a BAAF this year! >.<
Finally, Anime Nation reports that Samurai Champloo and Paranoia Agent wll premeir on Adult Swim this summer.
Vampt Vo - 1/4/05
--Yes, I'm late, as usual. But hey, I've still got 361 days of "New Year" left to post this... ^^; OK, so I had a New Years Party, homework, and a horde of power hungry military scientists after me. Well, maybe that was a little exagerrated. Um, OK, then, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
As for Anime Paradise news, we are conducting a vote for the "Best Animes and Mangas of 2004!" There will be 5 catagories: Martial Arts, Sci-Fi, Misc. Action, Comedy, and Sports and Games. Right now, the staff is in the process of voting on a large list of animes and mangas on the website or not. The top threee of each catagory will be placed on the Contests page as a poll. The staff, and any of you fans, will vote for 1 anime or manga in each catagory. The winning animes and mangas will get a celebration, and maybe a little more...
Wow, there really doesn't seem to be much going on in the anime news. Anyway, Nickelodeon has done it! Cartoon Network has been sending out its scarily anime-esque cartoons for a while, but now everyone's favorite orange-slime-covered television station has recently created "Avatar: The Last Airbender" It is a pseudo-anime TV movie that takes place in a fictional land somewhat similar to China. The movie airs on Nickelodeon February 21. Avatar looks interesting, but I'm not very interested in this pseudo-anime stuff, because it overdoes all of the main anime characteristics...irritating. (example: Teen Titans)
The Oracle - 12/26/04
--Ok, I do admit that I haven't been working for the past week, but I'm sorry because teachers feel they should cram work into you before winter break comes to rot your brain. ?_? Well Happy Belated Christmas to Christians! I have gotten many mangas and a Trigun DVD as well, so expect many summaries by the end of winter break. :-) I hope it snows (whether thats good or bad...) wherever you live!
Vampt Vo - 12/23/04
--OK, you see, my birthday was this past Friday, and Hannukah recently passed, so I got a few new mangas. Also, Christmas is coming very soon, so we will have new mangas and anime episodes to post. Also, there will be some video game reviews (e.g. Nintendo DS). Yeah, 'tis the season.
Oh, yes, and if anyone noticed, Anime Paradise had some server trouble yesterday. No one could access our site, not even me, for updating purposes! The problem, was that MS11.net, the company that hosts Anime Paradise, switched all of their accounts over onto a new server, which took around a day.
Not much in anime news. Shonen Jump is releasing a new line of mangas aimed specifically at older teens and young adults. It is being called "Shonen Jump Advanced". Also, the AnimeFringe is having a contest to find the top 25 anime, manga, and japanese culture websites on the internet! Get the details and vote HERE. Guess who we want you to vote for! ;-)
Vampt Vo - 12/11/04
--Hello Everyone! I haven't posted in a while, but here I am! As many of you know, the eight nights of Hanukkah began this past Tuesday night. My family and I celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season with this image:
Also, in news, Godzilla and the actor who played him received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame recently. Go Godzilla! :D Also, Anime Network is asking help from the anime fans of America! They send out their battle-cry, requesting that fans, essentially, bug Comcast into allowing Anime Network it's own cable channel, instead of just onDemand. They are in hot competition with Animax, Sony's new all-anime channel. As for some more goodies for you, Sony's new Playstation Portable (PSP) will have included in it's lineup a 3-D Bleach fighting game. (Bleach is a popular manga owned by Shonen Jump) Though I'm not very interested in Bleach, the game looks very good for a handheld. The Magic Box has 10 screenshots from the game. See them here.
Oh, yes, and, about that pic and quote of the month... I kinda forgot to put them up. I'll get them on this weekend, promise. ^^; *runs away for fear of being hurt*
The Oracle - 11/26/04
--You probably already know by now, but the Nintendo DS came out a couple of days ago. I believe some people on the site will be getting it for Christmas, so there should be a video game review for it around that time. The DS looks really cool and a couple of anime games are coming out for it, so make sure you check into it.
The Oracle - 11/25/04
--There is a new Dragon Ball Z game coming out for the X-box and other systems in 2005. The game is called Dragon Ball Z: Sagas and will be releasesd by Atari. So look more into that. And by the way, Happy Turkey Day! :-)
The Wavemaster - 11/25/04
--Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Have a good day full of food and fun. Don't fall victim to sleepyness, or you may befall victim to a ghost (hehe, Shaman King joke). GOBBLE! GOBBLE!
The Oracle - 11/23/04
--Well, there are two new dvd's of the most popular animes on Cartoon Network. Dragon Ball Z: Sacrifice takes place in the Cell Games Saga. Yu Yu Hakusho: Tempting Fates is the first dvd of the Saga of Three Kings. That's all for now!

Vampt Vo - 11/11/04
--I've got some huge news for you. *drumroll* FUNimation has decided to create a new television channel devoted to anime! It will show Dragonball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Case Closed, other FUNimation animes, and animes liscenced by other companies. (with permission, of course) The best part is that it will be aired on regular cable! That means everyone with normal, non-digital cable, can watch the "FUNimation Channel." O, yeah, it feels good... ;-) Also, for a little side-story, Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, and Yoshihiro Togashi, Yu Yu Hakusho's creator, will have their new mangas, "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" and "Eyeshield 21", respectively published by Viz, the owners of Shonen Jump. Both mangas' first volumes will be available April 5. That's all folks!
Vampt Vo - 10/31/04
--Well, today is October 31, Harvest Moon (I think), HALLOWEEN! Have creepy, scary night of um, fright! >:-)
The Oracle - 10/25/04
--As you may know, I posted the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 character roster on the video game section on the message board. A lot of people are unsure about it so there are possibly more/less characters. This is what a lot of poeple think so thats the most accurate one we have!
The Oracle - 10/24/04
--One Piece is scheduled to air up to episode 9:

Tata for now! ^^
The Oracle - 10/23/04

Vampt Vo - 10/23/04
--OK, then! We've been updating the site a bit, and right now we are undergoing internal surgery. As in, I'm recoding the menus with SSI, allowing me to update the menus on one page and making all of the other pages change. I am undergoing some problems with the SSI coding, so our layout may experience some changes, hopefully for the best. Also, I updated the pic, quote, and hentai free badge for the month. Because they came up so late, they will be considered as the October/November ones. Also, I picked up some info regarding AOL and Shonen Jump. Teens using AOL Red will now be able to view Shonen Jump Dragonball manga scenes online before they are released. Pretty cool, huh?
The Oracle - 10/22/04
--Oh Jesus here we go. :-( On November 19th, Cartoon Network will be airing another new show. If you've ever heard the theme song of Teen Titans a lot, you come to believe that those squeaky noises people call singing are actually sung by people. Well those people's names are Yumi and Ami, and they are the lead singers in one of Japans most popular bands, Puffy Amiyumi. They are now making a show about their world tour, Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi. It seems everyday Cartoon Network is getting more and more childish. (Bring back the good old days...) :(
Vampt Vo - 10/1/04
--Hey people! I've got a bit of news. I'll be away for the weekend, so I can't update for a few days. Just for a bit of news, the anime channel, Animax, may be coming to North America. It sounds like Anime Network, which means we'll have another all-anime channel! (I wish I had Anime Network >.<) Also, The Nintendo DS wil be released Nov 21 in the U.S.! I will try to get up a new pic and quote of the week when I return, and I believe The Oracle will be posting a review of Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament. So Long! ^^
Tare Panda - 9/18/04
--Hiya!!! It's been a while, because my computer has had a virus. Well now that i'm back I will be working some more, particularly on Rurouni Kenshin. I was also going to leave the website, because someone, O*R*A*C*L*E *cough* was planning a cyber funeral for me.(Thank god that's not happening) Well, now I have one more chance to work, so this time I won't blow it!
Vampt Vo - 9/18/04
--A few Pieces of news. Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament, a new game for PS2, will be released in America on September 21. The Oracle is most likely getting it and will have a review of it. Also, just today, One Piece premeired on the FoxBox. It was pretty good. If you're a One Piece fan, you'll probably like it. If you're not, try it, but you may not like it. The story was very changed, putting Iron Mace Alvida in the first episode. I have a summary of the first episode and will be adding more. In other news, Cartoon Network will be showing 4 new Adult Swim movies in 2005: Cowboy Bebop:The Movie, Metropolis, and 2 Inu Yasha Movies. On another note, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, the much awaited anime movie, came out in theaters yesterday.
Vampt Vo - 9/7/04
--Big news! as I predicted, One Piece will still be airing on the FoxBox. It will premeir on Saturday, September 18 at 9:30. Also, on that same morning at 11:30, Shaman King will start it's lineup of new episodes.

The Oracle - 8/30/04
--First off, i'm really sorry I haven't been on frequently, this summer has been so hectic. Secondly, I haven't seen one episode of Yu Yu Hakusho since the fight between Kurama and Karasu, but I have been watching Inu Yasha a lot. I'm going to work on Yu Yu Hakusho more now, and read summaries of the episodes I missed. That's it for now!
Results: (Well apparently it's over and Mew Mew Power won. Let's hope that One Piece still gets shown!)
Vampt Vo - 8/27/04
--Well, I was checking out the Lycos 50 to find that there are a few popular animes on the list. In #10 and holding it's spot is Dragonball (Which has been on the Lycos 50 top 10 since Lycos 50 began). Followed up by Pokemon at #32 and Yu-Gi-Oh at #40. Finally Inu Yasha grabbed #50.
Results: (Mew Mew: 46.3% ><) (One Piece: 35.9% -VOTE, PEOPLE!!!-) (F-Zero: 17.6%)
Vampt Vo - 8/24/04
--Not much to report today. FUNimation has announced that the DBGT TV Special will be released on DVD on November 16 for $24.98.
Big news on One Piece. Mew Mew Power is winning! How did it catch up? It's only winning by .5%, but I expect it to go up. I think that One Piece will still air even if it loses, because Fox has to put it on, or they wasted money on it. A sad day... :_(
Results: (Mew Mew: 39.2% ><) (One Piece: 38.7% :=( ) (F-Zero: 21.9%)
Vampt Vo - 8/20/04
--Well, I've picked up news about the DBZ Live Action Movie. It will be released sometime in 2007. Fox has hired Roland Emmerich to direct and Ben Ramsey and Tedi Sarafian to write the screenplay. The movie will be based on the Saiyan Saga and the Namek Saga.
Also, we have news on One Piece. On the FoxBox, they're voting on what new show to put on. Show them that One Piece is the best by voting on www.foxbox.tv. There's also Mew Mew Power (another anime) and F-Zero (a video game, yea sure). You can see previews of them on the FoxBox website. The winner will be shown on September 4th!
Oh, yes and the results right now are: (Mew Mew: 10.7%) (One Piece: 53.3% ^^) (F-Zero: 35.9%)
Vampt Vo - 8/16/04
--Yay!!! Today is Shinkt's birthday! Also, I kind of forgot to mention one of the bigger news stories. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie is out! (I don't think that there will be a live action movie as was previosly thought) hehe... ^^;
Oh, yes, and One Piece will soon premeir on the Fox Box. There was a short sneak peek of it this past Saturday. See Ya!
Vampt Vo - 8/11/04
--I'm sorry about my last news entry being too confusing, but it was hard to phrase correctly. I never saw the ad, but heard about it on Lelola. Sorry... ^^
Also, the DS, Nintendo's new handheld gaming system, is coming along in its design and will be out in November. Some of the games in development include a Dragonball Z game, a Naruto game, and a One Piece game, all by Japanese developers. We will give reviews of these games when they are released. (We may also give a review of the DS itself) To check out the DS and it's game lineup, see Nintendo.com.
Vampt Vo - 7/11/04
--Our President of the United States stirs up more controversy than just political. Recently, in an ad against Kerry, an image referring to the Japanese Mafia (Yakuza as it is called) appeared. As you can see from this image (and story) from Lelola.net, George W. Bush used a badly retouched picture of everyone's favorite Trigun star: Wolfwood!
This is horrible, because it not only infringes on the copyrights of Trigun. It also makes anime out to be some annoying children's craze. I already didn't like President Bush, but to see him make fun of anime really makes my blood boil...
For a full story about this matter, see Lelola.net.
Vampt Vo - 6/26/04
--Well, today I was checking out Lelola and I found two very interesting pieces of info.
From Anime on DVD: An initially unsourced piece of news in the manga forum indicated that popular manga group CLAMP will be working on some sort of project with Marvel Comics due out in 2005. The character to be dealt with wasn't named but it was said to be someone that you wouldn't think of typical CLAMP material. While the original posting left it unsourced, we have found out from a few other folks we know that it was apparently stated by CB Beluski.
I was always a fan of Marvel, and to see them work with CLAMP should be great!
also...
From ANN: Last week we reported that Fox had informed IGN Filmforce they weren't going to be making a live action DBZ movie. Our article was based on an IGN Filmforce report that was in fact a copy of a KyleHebert.com article that was several months old.
Yesterday, Variety reported that Hollywood screenwriter Ben Ramsey has a half-million-dollar deal with 20th Century Fox to do the Dragonball Z adaptation.
According to Variety, the project is being overseen by Peter Kang, Fox's VP of production. Ben Ramsey penned the script for The Big Hit and Marvel's upcoming big screen adaptation of Luke Cage.
Kang's office confirmed to Anime News Network that the movie is a Fox project. They informed us that there is currently no projected release date.
I can't wait for this! I heard about the DBZ Movie a while ago, but it never came out. I hope they do it right. (yeah, just imagine how cheesy those huge hairs might look ><)
Well, anyway, schools out, and Summer's here! ^^ (next time i might just have a nice summer image for you...)
Vampt Vo - 6/10/04
--Hey! We've been updating, and the site is coming on great. I would like to thank all of the staff for their hard work. ^^ Also, I have some anime news. I've heard that there's a Yu-Gi-Oh! live action movie coming out. Also, you should check out Linkin Park's anime music video for "Breaking the Habit" on MTV.com. It's a cool song, and the video is cool too. On another note, I've gotten wind that One Piece will be aired in America! *cheers* It will be licensed by 4Kids, which means it will be severely edited... :_( Well, I'll see you later! :D
Tare Panda - 5/30/04
--I have just bought episodes 1-5 of the anime Azu Manga Daioh. It was so cool. Here is a short summary from the box for anyone interested:
In Miss Yukari's class everyday is an adventure. First off, there's the teacher herself. A bit of an airhead, she may have graduated from highschool, but she sure hasn't left. With the arrival of not one, but two transfer students-one ten year old protgy-and one Osakan gal. It's going to be an interesting year!
The Oracle - 5/28/04
--Hiya! I'm The Oracle. (As I'm sure you know ^^) Well, anyway, I have the Toonami and Adult Swim lineup for Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30:
7:00 Duel Masters: Ballad Of Kintaro, Part II
7:30 Justice League: Starcrossed (Movie)
9:00 Megas XLR: Buggin The System
9:30 Yu Yu Hakusho: Wielder Of The Dragon
10:00 Dragonball GT: Goku's Ascension
10:30 Gundam Seed: Scar Of Space
11:00 InuYasha: Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part II
11:30 Wolf's Rain: Successors
12:00 Fooly Cooly: FLCLimax
12:00 Big O: Dorothy, Dorothy
1:00 Cowboy Bebop: Speak Like A Child
1:30 Trigun: Hard Puncher
Vampt Vo - 3/24/04
--Well, I've been updating the site a lot and now the layout is just about finalized. I am going to make a new splash image to replace the cheesy one that I have now. There's a new staff lineup, too. We have Vampt Vo(Me), Shinji, The Wavemaster, Tsukasa, and Shinkt, along with some other people to help with finding images and such. I also have to announce that I am an optimistic liar! (>.>) It's because I keep saying that the website will be done at some point, and then months after it I'm about halfway done with what I said that I'd do.
Vampt Vo - 11/26/03
--We have the main layout up, but we haven't started updating the pages yet. Soon, we'll be getting a new, easier to access address. (This one will stay active, though) Well, in anime news, I believe that the Cartoon Network Adult Swim lineup has changed. Tonight they will be showing:
Inu-Yasha - 12:00 AM
Big O - 12:30 AM
Blue Gender - 1:00 AM
Reign: the Conqueror - 1:30 AM
As always, they will show the same lineup at 3:00 AM also. Also, I'd just like to say: Happy Thanksgiving! ^^
